Top officials from the newly formed commissionerate ventured out on to the street dressed in civil clothes.
Last week, the Pimpri-Chinchwad police commissioner along with his deputy and other senior officials went on a surprise inspection of the services performed by their men, while also assessing the security maintained under supervision of a particular cop. On being caught, they will be answerable to top cops from the the satellite city and will have to perform action drill amid the entire commissionerate under the scorching sun. Pimpri-Chinchwad traffic cops will now have to perform their duties with utmost vigilance, as a strict inspection is underway to reprimand cops stand idly on roads chitchatting, or engrossed in their phones while on duty.
Those found ignoring their duties will be pulled up and made to perform a two hour long action drill on the police ground
